This is a video from the archive, from the 1.3-1.61 era of Cyberpunk 2077. At this time there were no way of playing radio stations outside of vehicles, making travel between missions or general open-world exploration somewhat content-empty. When using a joypad to play the game on PC, the Cyberpunk 2077 window doesn't have to be active for it to receive input. This easily allows i.e. Firefox's pop-out player to display it's overlay "in-game". But a regular video player breaks the immersion of Cyberpunk's well crafted visual style. This video is basically the "preview" of OBS, capturing the game but also a video playing in a separate browser. Using various effects on the video player, particularly playing with colors and chroma key I ended up with this. The preview is maximized to full-screen and the game is played that way. Slight input delay, but less noticeable than a fully modded Cyberpunk 2077. Very immersive when watching Cyberpunk lore videos. I enjoy making the gaming experience my own, so back before portable radios was a thing (even as a mod) why not watch some lore-appropriate VOD’s while gaming?
