Hi-Fi RUSH is nominated in five categories (Best Art Direction, Best Score And Music, Best Audio Design, Innovation In Accessibility, Best Action Game) and Forza Motorsport is nominated in two (Innovation In Accessibility, Best Sports / Racing). Starfield is nominated for Best RPG (but has no chance of winning).
I think it makes sense. Starfield is okay imo, but feels unfinished. Bases are useless, exploring is boring, too many loading screens, and menu / UI is terrible.
I had fun, did the main quest and most faction quests and some side quests, but will wait for updates / mods before I play again.
Few PlayStation games were nominated either. Spider-Man 2 seems very cool, but there’s not many platform-dedicated games coming out. Baldur’s Gate is only excluded for the moment due to Series S porting issues.
It’s a Geoff production. They let the God of war guy speak for almost 10 minutes in a previous show
And a random dude crashed the game of the year acceptance speech.
I mean, Xbox is the popular brand to hate on. Whether or not they had many good games to nominate, this was always going to happen.
People especially hate Xbox and MIcrosoft here on Lemmy. Even more than they do on Twitter and Reddit.
Those are all also available on PC…
Can’t really call those Xbox games being nominated. Those are multi platform games.
Almost all console “exclusive” games are available on PC. From Sony and Microsoft.
How does Bloodborne run on your PC? Or Demon’s Souls? Or Ghost of Tsushima? Grand Tourismo, Infamous, Killzone all not on there either.
Almost all only applies to MS. Sony and Nintendo still have exclusives.
Is that a bad thing?
Console exclusives are terrible and should be a practice we left in the past. I still refuse to buy Sony games partially because of this since the games come to PC so late.
Isn’t there a least innovative category?
