    As a parent of young people who would like to be able to make their own money I applaud this.

      Young people having financial agency and child labour laws arent exclusive to each other. It’s about ensuring the safety of the child’s health and agency, alongside their civil rights while they pursue education and financial independence.

      If your pre-tween needs money, then there are layers of wrong there.

      Kids can work younger with parental approval, of course – but there’s a limit. A parent who needs help figuring that out is just one layer of wrong.
