Jeez, what is going on in y’all’s thoughts? I’d absolutely rather be alone with my thoughts than be electrically shocked.
My thoughts often drift to uh- not so savory things, so I always need music or something in the background
In fact, I once asked to be put in a mental hospital due to those thoughts!
i also struggle to understand; are they like depressive thoughts?
Not only depressive, but also kicking the bucket so to speak. They aren’t fun when all you’re left with is your thoughts
I hope you are feeling better these days.
I am! Thank you

Ok. I have no idea of how it works, but apparently if you go desktop mode it unlock. 🤷♂️
Sorry, that was a bit harsh, didn’t mean to be. I tried reader view and desktop, it didn’t work for me
👍
I think Vsauce did an episode of Mindfield where Michael tests this. Basically have the person wait in a room with a button that shocks them (lightly) when pressed. Even when the person knows the button will shock them, they still press it in the majority of cases out of a combination of curiosity and boredom.
I spend most of my time alone with my thoughts and I would prefer it to electric shocks.
In the original study isnt there one outlier that shocked themselves like 200 times lmao
Wtf? No.
What about if you dream about shocking yourself all the time? I have jumper cables and battery chargers. I’m perfectly capable of licking things too.
