We just hit 2000 subscribers! I’d like to thank everyone for showing up here to create a new community, and what better way than giving stuff away?
I’m giving away the Nitecore MH10 v2 I reviewed. I can ship it anywhere in the USA or EU, but EU winners will have to wait until mid September. This is a basic, beginner-friendly flashlight that can accept almost all 18650 and 21700 batteries.
To enter, leave a top-level comment on this post before midnight UTC on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Only accounts that have posted or commented on /c/flashlight prior to this being posted are eligible to win.
While I’m not eligible, I’m glad to see a flashlight community on the fediverse! Subscribed.
Not in EU or USA so not commenting for participating. Just happy that 2000 people joined a niche sub after leaving Reddit
I’m glad we are on c/flashlight, because I misread this for a different community at first and was confused on how this one would work.
Shit I didn’t know this sub existed.
Well it’s good seeing you here anyways, Zak.
Wow, 2000 subscribers for a pretty niche community. This Lemmy thing is getting pretty serious.
Not sure if I commented, but sweet giveaway
Wow, I can’t believe we are already at 2000!
And don’t pick me, let somebody new have a shot ;)
Obviously I’m disqualified since I haven’t posted in the community before, but as a short term lurker I appreciate you giving back to the community.
Good luck to all!
@Zak 2000 ! Great !
Great! I really hope this community will grow even bigger.
That’s awesome! I don’t know if I’ve commented before, but we’ll see! I’ve been subscribed for a while. Thanks!
Awesome to see 2000 subscribers. I’m just a lurker, but great to see the growth.
I do not wish to win this light but thanks for running the giveaway and being active on Lemmy
Very generous of you :)
I’ve always tried to find good flashlights, but seem to fail almost every time. The best flashlights I’ve got are actually little tiny rechargable ones I got for my bike.
The main things I care about are:
- rechargable
- long lasting battery
- decent brightness
Would be nice features:
- usb-c charging
- replaceable battery
Things I would love to see, but almost never do, are:
- not having to toggle through every damn brightness and flashing setting and just be able to turn on/off with a single button
- red, orange, or yellow setting so I don’t fuck up my night vision
Are these things unreasonable? Am I just crazy?
not having to toggle through every damn brightness and flashing setting and just be able to turn on/off with a single button
You’re in luck, this is one of OP’s own requirements for all the lights on the “arbitrary list”:
A user interface where a single click turns the light on in a reasonable mode, and another single click turns it off.
