What in the FUCK has Canada become? How are we letting miscreants tear down one of our PRIZED jewels of the country - our much-admired health care system? If you think “oh this won’t happen here” just take a look around. Here in Ontario Doug “college drop out” Ford is privatizing the health care system bit by bit. It won’t be long for this to happen to the rest of us. Is that what we really want Canada? Is this of our choosing?
They’ve convinced the hillbillies that everyone-pays healthcare means that you don’t pay for your neighbour’s doctors bills, and they omitted the fact that single-payer means all the bills are small (and your neighbour chips in for yours).
These are people with no sense of planning taken advantage of by people with no sense of humanity.
Or just no sense at all.
This isn’t a membership, it’s a BRIBE. The doctor is billing the public healthcare system, but giving preferential treatment to patients who slip him an extra 5k under the table. Maybe the patients are fooled by the “membership” language, but the doctors doing this know EXACTLY what they’re doing. Absolutely disgusting.
