According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release new MacBook Pro and Mac mini models with the M3 chip in the middle of 2024 at the latest. The new MacBook Pro models will feature the M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, while the Mac mini will only be available with the M3 chip. The new Mac mini is not expected to be released until late 2024 at the earliest. There will be no new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M3 chip in October 2023.

    I was wondering if I should wait a few months to get an m2 air cheaper or get it now. I’m also a bit on the fence about getting a first gen apple product. I had the 2012 retina pro with display ghosting, then the 2016 pro with the display cable breaking.

    So I don’t really have confidence in the first gen of the m2 air.
