Kinda nasty that the artist credit got rubbed out.
So, altho I thought this was Jim Benton’s work at first, I do believe this one is by Mike Jacobsen of Oz. His stuff from this era is here, and more modern stuff here:

https://www.instagram.com/seemikedraw/You are correct on artist, here’s a link to source, created on 2009-07-27. Have never seen this guy before, but after scrolling through some comics I think I am an instant fan.
I hate that pedos are so often portrayed like this. Geeky, bald, glasses. Child molesters can look like anyone.
Haha you look like a pedo.
I feel like this joke is overdone. Family Guy did it and so did Monkey Dust to name a couple of examples.
Probably, but this specific comic is from 2009 so not exactly trying to break new ground.
I mean whatever, it’s a funny premise
I don’t think it is. It’s like the Family Guy Conway Twitty cutaways or the scene transition jokes in Archer. I’ve seen the joke done so many times I don’t find it amusing.
That’s fair, everyone has different tastes i suppose
Not comic related, but I think the most overdone joke is the whole “Embarrassing thing happened, someone made a video remix”.
Like autotune remixes of the grape stomping lady falling over?
Yeah, I’ve noticed it’s a trope in sitcoms now and I think it’s as overdone as it is unfunny.
I am surprised you’ve encountered it that much. I feel like it’s been tapering off since the 2010s.
It still creeps in every now and again
Missing panels: “Should we explore the abandoned house anyway?” … “Yeah, sure!”
Then a shot of them holding hands and going in.
Bonus panel: Psycho clown inside with a knife 🤡🔪
