That’s cool, but I’ve definitely liked Apple products better since Jony Ive left. I got a much sturdier iPhone with a bigger battery and a MacBook with ports and Apple silicon. Thicker and heavier devices can have their benefits.
To be fair, Jony hasn’t really been completely disconnected from Apple all that long. The effects of him leaving will probably be more apparent 5-6 years from now.
One thing that does worry me though, are the reasons he left; one of them, allegedly, being his hatred of Apple being taken over by ‘bean counters’.
