Does it even work? I don’t have a Twitter account to check it. But I imagine it is broken. Anyone can confirm?

Wait that’s so sick, thanks for sharing
i’d prefer it even more if they just run it on their own website, and then hook the website up to activitypub so everyone can follow it on the fediverse. but yeah, using your own mastodon server would be such a great step forwards
Do you know what is the server? This article doesn’t seem to even link to it.

That’s the way to do it. No better verification system than be a self-hosted instance at the municipality domain. Perfect!

Oef.
Agree 100%!! Sometimes I also see a “local community messaging group” sign and it uses Whatsapp…
Best part: those signs are mostly located in the calmest neighbourhoods.

According to Tweakers.net they stopped doing this: https://tweakers.net/nieuws/211448/brandweer-amsterdam-verspreidt-updates-over-storm-niet-langer-via-twitter.html
They probably just added a link to their Twitter page so that should still work. IF you have a Twitter account. Otherwise you can’t view it.
