What the hell? In the summer he was touring with Johnny Depp and playing eccentrically like there was no tomorrow. At that age one can’t of course be sure whether a small health injury requiring hospital care will lead to death. I’m not 100% familiar with his work, but I liked his guitar work in Ozzy’s latest album “Patient Number 9”.
He died after sudden illness according to a lot of outlets, I guess famous people are just as prone to the tragedies of life as the rest of us. At least he didn’t spend the last few of his years in bed or something, as you say - Touring the world just half a year ago.
