Their followers interpret the Bible literally. Some believe constant procreation is God’s will.

A 2021 YouTube video that was posted on Operation Save America’s website featured suggestive and violent imagery involving scenes of a man with an assault rifle, then cutting to a Planned Parenthood facility, while reciting the biblical verse that begins, “To everything there is a season” and includes the line, “a time to kill.” That video “was removed by the uploader” Tuesday afternoon after the initial national publication of this States Newsroom report.

    These people are so dangerous.

Idiots like this make it impossible to discuss men’s issues, or for anyone to give an F about them.

Yeah, we have some real problems and this makes it that much harder to get our shit together and iron out things that actually affect us.

“We should leave the uterus to God,”

Maybe you should leave the limp dick to god too.

      Poe’s law in action:

Without a clear indicator of the author’s intent, any parodic or sarcastic expression of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of those views.

Interesting that the Bible literally says nothing that’s literally about abortion.

Like the other comment says, there’s a story in the Bible about a pregnant woman coming to a rabbi I think. He sweeps the floors (which contains all kinds of plant matter from ceremonies) and has her consume it. I believe it was a test to see if it was a bastard or not. If the shield dies it’s a bastard and if not it isn’t.

It’s some real stupid shit, but they were aware of and did not care much about abortions then. They were actively performed by the clergy on occasion.

It really irks me when news outlets simplify demographic groups in their headlines like this, because it fuels antipathy and conflict between groups that really shouldn’t be against each other. The problematic group here isn’t “men,” but “hyper-conservative Christian men.” Men’s issues are routinely ignored by society, and there’s so much anti-male material generated by some shitty feminists out there, this just adds to the dogpile. The problem is the misogynistic elements of Christianity (or of this particular interpretation of Christianity, if you’re feeling charitable), not men. Plenty of men are pro-choice and headlines like this one gloss over that fact and stoke a gender war that harms all involved; the only benefit is clicks for the media outlets.
