@_ed the both semifinals where better than the final. Regardless I agree that Samo did fantastic this year. I hope getting someone other than the big 3 in the finals is a sign of Rugby Leauge growing across the globe. I still think the American XFLwould/will have been more succesful if they just played Rugby league and called it “Xtreme Football” Leauge is much closer to Gridon football than union and should be easier to sell to a North American audience (not to mention that its the better code anyway).
Breaking into the US would be a tall order for any sport, would have been interesting to see how a branded version of league would have gone. Mix in a bit of MMA attitude.
Re the game If a team has to expend all their energy in a semi odds are they wont have much in the tank for the final. Against Australia even worse, should be proud though. Samoan flags have been out in force until recently!
