Stephen Fry has deleted his Twitter account with 12M followers and moved to Mastodon. hopes and prayers for Fedi admins (fedmins?) out there.
I just saw that Fosstodon, one of the larger instances is down for two hours to move the database to a another server.
Could this be described as the “Eternal September of Fediverse”?

I experienced the Eternal September first hand and this sounds almost exactly like it.
I’m seeing more news organizations starting up too and even a US Congressman. People are definitely discovering the Fediverse. I’m new too and I wish I hadn’t waited so long to give it a chance.

Not at this moment. My main Mastodon account is on Fosstodon which is still down and I need that because I can’t recall the name of the bot that produces these charts on Mastodon.
