Companies were basically forced by government to cooperate and to work in the public interest / war machine.
They worked real hard to rewrite history in the 50s with the anti-communist propaganda but the USA that won WW2 was quite socialist, more so than any Western country now.
Is this pro-neoliberalism? Private interests tend to oppose what’s in the public interest.
