misleading title : out of 11 premiers in Canada, only 1, (who has no leverage on this), is talking about that.
So, reality is very far from what the title leads to believe.

Expecting Canada (or Mexico or any other country) to simply “lie there and take it” when Trump starts fucking around with them is stupid.

Of course there will be retaliation.

And of course, that retaliation will be designed to cause the most discomfort possible, especially to the people who empowered Trump.

Last time, the EU raised tariffs on Kentucky bourbon specifically to pressure McConnell.

This time, I expect all affected countries to raise tariffs on Teslas. Combined with Americans fleeing the brand, Elon’s alliance with Trump might not work out as he expected.

Also on Wisconsin motorcycles and Florida orange juice, among other specifically targeted tarrifs on red states.

Rob ford is an idiot he’s trying to convince his population they need more car line and he’s taking out bike line to do it. Since his population doesn’t like this he’s posturing on a thing he can’t control.

Quebec and nfl-labrador just reworked their deal on a huge dam though, quebec didn’t have to do it before 2030 iirc, but im pretty sure Legault went with it to assure we have a huge bargaining chip by the time the fat orange juice sit on his shit throne ane threathen a 25% tax.

Anyway we’ll see it when it’s there. 🤷‍♂️ cest partit pour un 4 ans de plaisir. youppi!🫠

Obligatory fuck rob, fuck danielle and fuck small pp…

Have to say I’m a little sceptical on this. In the early 2000s we had that giant power outage that hit everywhere from Ontario down to the US eastern seaboard. It’s all one giant, tightly-integrated grid. Both sides milk Niagara Falls for all its worth, for example.

If it were Quebec making this threat, I would take it seriously. They spent a lot to rebuild their grid with DC isolation and everything after a horrific ice storm took it down. If they said “we’re cutting you off”, then yeah, they could realistically do so. But this is Doug Ford in Ontario. What a blow-hard.

If he’s talking more about gas/oil pipelines, well, what’s the point? Trump’s tariffs will already cause prices to soar at the pump in the US. No need for an embargo. Talk about shooting yourself in your foot. I cannot believe he has any support, and yet here we are.

Not nonsense from Canada, also the US is not a dragon, nor is trumpi. So I’m not really sure what you are saying. Ford is probably more conservative than trumpi, who is only conservative to his base. It’s been said, Nations do not have friends, only interests.
